We are following and scrutinising the situation unfolding in Dingli, where activists and residents are keeping Infrastructure Malta from entering ODZ land in Dingli to continue works on a controversial road that will involve the uprooting of century-old trees.
Apart from the importance of doing our utmost to safeguard each and every tree on our islands, we are also concerned about possible future developments and further uptake of agricultural land.
We call upon MAFA (Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries, Food and Animal Rights) and MECP (Ministry for the Environment, Climate Change and Planning) to voice their positions and take an active role in placing residents' and farmers' interests first.
