Over the past years, several young farmers in Malta have benefited from funding under Measure 6.1 “Business start-up aid for Young Farmers”. This measure assisted farmers under the age of 40, who intended to engage in an agricultural activity as the main holders of a farm for the first time.
One of the beneficiaries is Andrew Azzopardi from Mosta. He has successfully completed a project partly financed by this measure of the Rural Development Programme for Malta 2014-2020. A tractor, equipment, and various implements including an automatic potato planter were financed through the project.
Project Title: 'Take over and modernise father's holdings, improving viability and competitiveness'.
