Ecofem Permaculture Design course

Applications are now open for the Erasmus+ EcoFem Permaculture Design Course from the 13th to the 21st of September 2026!



The EcoFem Permaculture Design Course (PDC) is a fully immersive international learning experience taking place in Koper, Slovenia and hosted by the Slovene Permaculture Association (DPS). Based on the internationally recognised 72-hour Permaculture Design Curriculum, the course combines theory, practical learning, community living, and collaborative design work. Participants will explore permaculture, ecological design, ecofeminism, and sustainable practices while learning directly from experienced practitioners in a hands-on environment.

Participants will also receive a Youthpass certificate upon completion, and a PDC certificate.


EcoFem will award 4 scholarships covering travel, accommodation and course fee!

 Location: Sunny Hills of Istria, Gračišče (Koper), Slovenia

Learning Objectives

Participants will:

  • Attend online sessions before the course starts (about 8 hours)

  • Learn the ethics, principles, and design methods of permaculture.

  • Develop practical skills in regenerative agriculture and sustainable land use.

  • Explore the links between environmental sustainability, social justice, and ecofeminism.

  • Strengthen systems thinking and ecological literacy.

  • Design and implement regenerative solutions for real-world challenges in their own communities (your permaculture design!)

  • Build connections with like-minded individuals committed to positive social and environmental change.

  • Engage in mindful and eco friendly social activities


Expected Impact

By the end of the course, participants will be better equipped to:

  • Design and apply regenerative practices in their personal, professional, or community contexts.

  • Promote sustainable and inclusive approaches to environmental challenges.

  • Act as changemakers within their communities, contributing to ecological resilience and social well-being

  • Co-organize an event in their own communities


Who Can Apply?

Applications welcome from individuals who:

  • Are between the ages of 18 and 30 residing in Malta, Italy or Slovenia

  • Are interested in sustainability, regenerative agriculture, environmental action, community development, or social justice.

  • Are motivated to actively participate in the full learning programme.

  • Are willing to engage in collaborative learning and practical activities after the end of the course

About the project

The EcoFem Permaculture Design Course is part of the Erasmus+ EcoFem project, led by the University of Malta together with cultural NGO GoCaro (Italy) and educational organization Slovene Permaculture Association (DPS), which explores the connections between regenerative agriculture, ecological sustainability, social justice, and ecofeminist values. Through a combination of theory, practical learning, collaborative activities, and design work, participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to create more resilient and regenerative communities.
