MaYA is proud to serve as a pilot representing Malta’s agricultural landscape in an European-wide project. As a partner together with the Merill Rural Network, our task is to work directly on the ground to test and engage with GreenFit’s digital and climate-smart agricultural solutions.

The project brings together a strong consortium of 20 partners from 10 European countries, uniting universities, research centres, tech companies, farmer organisations, and rural networks across Belgium, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Malta, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and Spain. This diverse partnership ensures that the project benefits from a wide range of expertise, agricultural landscapes, and cultural contexts, allowing GreenFit to develop solutions that are both innovative and aware of Europe’s challenges.

Plenary Meeting 2 - Malta

March 23th & 24th

After the kick-off meeting in Greece, we will have the chance to host the second consortium meeting here in Malta. All EU partners will come together in March to update and accelerate the evolution of the project. Many roles and upcoming activities will be discussed, and we will definitely keep everyone registered in the loop!

Green Resilience through Economic Empowerment, Environmental Knowledge, and Future-Proof Digital Infrastructure

GreenFit is a Horizon Europe initiative that integrates advanced digital solutions such as drones, AI-based farm management systems, and immersive XR training to work towards a more resilient, data-driven, and inclusive agricultural sector.

Purpose:

Accelerate innovation from lab to field: AgriChatbot, XR-AgriTrain and IoT sensors

Provide training, open resources, and localised capacity-building to support the transition toward climate-smart and low-carbon agriculture

Strengthen collaboration and knowledge exchange: build partnerships through the GreenFit Digital Agriculture Observatory and its One-Stop-Shop platform.
