Silvia Gilberti is a Project Coordinator at MaYA in Malta. With a background in tourism studies and food and wine expertise, she works on national and EU projects exploring rural development through tourism and responsible farming, shaped around the specific characteristics and limits of each territory. With Italian origins, Silvia works closely with rural communities in both Malta and Northern Italy, as well as with policymakers and farmers, supporting forms of tourism that help agriculture and crafts remain viable while preserving local identity, knowledge, and everyday rural life.
